Britain's biggest sleep study โ€” and we need your input.

SleepReview is conducting the first comprehensive study of sleep habits across the United Kingdom. We want to understand how Britain really sleeps โ€” not what the supplement companies tell you, not what the mattress ads claim โ€” but the honest, messy reality of sleep in 2026.

How many hours do you actually get? Do you wake up feeling rested? Has the cost-of-living crisis affected your sleep? We want to hear from every corner of the UK โ€” from students in Glasgow to retirees in Cornwall, from night-shift nurses in Manchester to remote workers in rural Wales.

What We're Asking

The survey covers 10 areas of sleep health. Here's what we'll ask about:

โฐ 1. Sleep Duration

Average hours per night on workdays vs days off, variation across the week, and whether you feel you get enough.

๐Ÿ• 2. Sleep Timing

When you go to bed, when you wake up, and how consistent your schedule is across the week โ€” including social jet lag.

โญ 3. Sleep Quality

How rested you feel on waking, how long it takes to fall asleep, and how often you wake during the night.

๐Ÿ”„ 4. Sleep Issues

Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, early waking, snoring, teeth grinding, restless legs, and suspected sleep apnoea.

โ˜• 5. Caffeine & Alcohol

How much coffee, tea, energy drinks, and alcohol you consume, and how close to bedtime.

๐Ÿ“ฑ 6. Screen Time

Time spent on phones, tablets, laptops, and TV before bed, and whether you try to limit it.

๐Ÿƒ 7. Exercise

How often you exercise, what type, and whether it's morning, afternoon, or evening.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ 8. Bedroom Environment

Room temperature, noise levels, light exposure, mattress age and type, and bedroom setup.

๐Ÿ˜ฐ 9. Stress & Mental Health

How stress, anxiety, money worries, and work pressure affect your sleep โ€” and what you do about it.

๐Ÿ“Š 10. Demographics

Age, gender, region in the UK, occupation type, living situation โ€” so we can spot trends across different groups.

Data Privacy

All responses are anonymous. We don't collect names, email addresses, or IP addresses alongside your answers. The optional email field for the report is stored separately and never linked to your responses. Your data will be aggregated into the final report and deleted within 12 months.
